March 3, 2008 – 8:05 am

If Alexander Graham were alive today, he’d be celebrating his 161st birthday.

Alexander Graham Bell is best known for his invention of the telephone. He was also known as “Father of the deaf.” Both Graham’s mother and wife were both deaf.

Bell was an inventor, scientist and innovator.

When you hear the familiar ring today, be sure to thank Mr. Bell for his great invention - the phone.
