Yahoo’s Canadian and United States organic search will be transitioned to results powered by Bing beginning this week. After this transition is complete Bing will power 5.2 billion monthly searches. This represents 31.6% of US searches and 8.6% stake in Canadian search.
This is one of the first strategic moves to capture search share from Google, as they continue on their own path to advancing technology.
