Cisco has really been on the move lately. Earlier this month they purchased 5 Across, a social networking software company and today they announced plans to buy Reactivity, a small company that makes equipment to route XML internet traffic.

The company is based in Redwood, California and employs 56. The company was founded in 1998. Their equipment is designed to help companies more easily and quickly deploy XML (Extensible Markup Language), a standard for Web documents.
The deal is worth $135 million dollars and is expected to close by April 28, 2007.
