Google Promotes Being ‘Green’

Here’s something that I can get behind. Companies and people that are conscious about our environment and are always looking for ways to reduce the amount of energy (in the form of gas, electricity or other sources of power) that they use. That is just what Google is boasting about today. They use solar panels on their rooftop, offer transportation to Bay area employees and even offer rebates to employees that buy energy efficient autos.

They are also looking to find some new age ideas for their newest challenge, the Pedal Powered Machine Challenge. They’ve partnered with Specialized and Goodby Silverstein & Partners in the
Innovate or Die The winner will receive $5,000 dollars and the chance to see his pedal powered creation spring to life! Submit your idea (and video) at Youtube to take part in this exciting contest.
