Listening To Others Isn’t Always A Good Idea

October 25, 2007 – 6:32 pm

Do you remember asking your mom for something using the phrase “..everyone has it / everyone will be there..” only to get shot down with the retort “if everyone were jumping off a bridge, would you do it too?”

If so, you may (or may not not) have learned that listening or doing what “the crowd” is doing isn’t always the best idea.. and this is the case in Internet marketing sometimes. In fact, I’ve found that sometimes listening to others has a way of clouding your thinking and buying into someone else’s reality can mar your independent thinking mind, and put you behind the curveball when you should be looking for the big fat pitch!

My advice for you today is to think outside of the box and try not to be influenced too much by the general chatter - get to work and it will pay!
