Lichtenberg Figure

February 26, 2008 – 9:52 am

Lichtenberg figures are so cool!

A Lichtenburg figure captures “lightning” at it core. The end result looks a lot like a delicate leaf or a plant’s root system.

Not familiar with this artful technique? Then watch the video below to introduce yourself to it.

That is art at work using the sheer force of energy! Beautiful, indeed.

There was no word that the mission had been scrapped and other factors could impact a decision on the timing of the shootdown.

Snake Fish Invades Britain

February 19, 2008 – 8:31 am

There is a bit of bad news for Britons, a fish deadlier than the piranha has been caught on British shores for the first time. The Snakefish eats just about anything and can live for up to four days on land.

The fish is even rumored to attack humans, especially when defending their ‘fry’ (offspring.)

Andy Alder, 24 of Lincoln caught the beast. “It had a gob full of razor-sharp teeth. To be honest it looked terrifying.”

Environmental agencies are concerned that the invasive fish might set up breeding grounds, which would put other fish and humans in danger.

Hopefully this a rare occurrence of someone dumping an illegal fish and not a case of infestation. They can grow to be 3 feet in length and weigh up to 44 pounds.

Jessica Baty - NIU Shooter’s Girlfriend

February 18, 2008 – 9:26 am

In an attack that is still largely misunderstood, Jessica Baty, Steven Kazmierczak’s former girlfriend can offer little explanation of why Steven opened fire at a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University.

Jessica said that Steven had recently stopped taking his medications because they “made him feel like a zombie.” She said that he seemed only slightly changed after he quit taking them. She told CNN “He wasn’t erratic. He wasn’t delusional. He was Steve; he was normal.”

Baty said Kazmierczak, 27, called her the night before to say goodbye.

“He called me at midnight and told me not to forget about him.”

Officials said they’ve found no connection with Kazmierczak and the victims. He was a former student that had good grades.

We hope that something will surface on why he plotted to kill so many others and then kill himself. Not to be sick, but you just wonder why he couldn’t have just took his own life without taking so many other people with him..
