Chocolate Fondue

February 14, 2008 – 6:23 pm

Don’t get me started on chocolate fondue. This tasty, creamy chocolately dessert is best melted in a pot and dipped on a strawberry or banana or even a juicy grape.

Chocolate fondue is easy to make and a fondue machine is preferred, although you can also use a double boiler pan.

Once your chocolate has melted, use your imagination to dip whatever you like - sweet breads, fresh pineapple, apples.. whatever your heart desires.

This makes for a great dessert anytime, but especially on Valentine’s Day!

Picture Of Roses

February 14, 2008 – 9:05 am

This picture of roses should be nice if you can’t have a real bouquet.

Picture of roses.

Roses are beautiful for so many reasons - They have an intoxicating scent, their petals feel like silk and they come in so many wonderful colors from crimson red to bright sunny yellows.

In recent years colors like lilac have even come into fashion. There is nothing like beholding the beauty of a rose. And a rose never has to die, you can dry the petals out for decor or to use in potpourri.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Brian Sterner Video

February 13, 2008 – 11:30 am

This video of Brian Sterner, a quadriplegic getting “dumped” out of his wheelchair is mind numbing. What in the heck were these police officers thinking? After tossing this young man out of his wheelchair, they have the audacity to “frisk” him.

He was pulled over for a traffic violation of some sort and the surveillance tapes caught this horrible police officer harming a disabled citizen for no apparent reason.

What a shame. He thought he broke two ribs, but without being able to feel anything from below his chest he couldn’t tell. Officers said they weren’t aware of the incident until they were shown the video they taped.

Hopefully these corrupt police officers will get what they deserve for that move.
