Starbucks Closing

February 26, 2008 – 11:44 am

Here’s something that hasn’t happened much in the history of Starbucks.

CEO Howard Schultz ordered that all 7,100 Starbucks close for 3 hours to energize the companies 135,000 employees.

The closure starts at 5:30 local time today. While the stores shut for business, baristas will share their passion for making espresso, or as Schultz says, “to pull the perfect shot, steam milk to order and customize their favorite beverage.”

So if you have plans to stop at Starbucks this evening, you might need to adjust your plans to account for this downtime.
