Telefonica To Provide Yahoo Mail, Search And Flickr

Today Telefonica and Yahoo announced a joint venture to bring Yahoo services to 100 million mobile users.

Under the terms of the agreement, Madrid-based Telefonica’s local subsidiaries will offer Sunnyvale-based Yahoo as the search engine partner on their mobile portals in Ireland, Latin America and the U.K.

Telefonica will also integrate the Flickr photo-sharing program and Yahoo Mail into its portfolio of mobile Internet services.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Look for these services to be coming to a mobile near you!
