Viacom Chooses Joost To License Content
February 20, 2007 – 10:23 amToday Viacom announced that they had reached a licensing agreement with Joost to distribute video content.
This agreement was reached just weeks after having Youtube and Google pull 100,000 video clips that were in copyright voilations.
Joost will host content from Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Paramount studios.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed. Joost is currently in “beta” and allows users to view broadcast quality programming for free.
