Watch Youtube Videos With Your Wireless Cell Phone From Verizon
November 28, 2006 – 12:27 pmToday a new partnership was forged in delivering content to your mobile phone or other handheld device.

Beginning in early December subscribers of Verizon’s V-Cast services will be able to download and view a selected number of videos exclusively for a limited time. This is the first strategic mobile content distribution agreement for Youtube, a popular video sharing website that was recently bought by Google.
We are excited to launch our new mobile service and to partner with Verizon Wireless to bring YouTube videos to a new audience,” said Steve Chen, chief technology officer and co-founder of YouTube. “People want to be entertained in a way that fits their individual lifestyle. This service offers our community and Verizon Wireless subscribers a new opportunity to connect and engage with their favorite videos. We will continue to roll out more exciting partnerships and features for the mobile user over the coming year.”
Subscribers of Verizon Wireless can access these videos on their internet enabled phone, including the Chocolate by LG, and the MotoKRZR K1m. A subscription service is required.
The mobile revolution is on for sure and Verizon is leading the way in getting people to enjoy more programming via mobile devices. I imagine many other companies are looking to do the same thing in the months and years to come.
Would you watch Youtube on your cell phone?

No way might walk into a lamp post :p, but could you imagine trying to stream a video on the old gprs phones, I think it could be a good idea for youtube as cell phones are aimed at the 30-50 age group and surprisingly enough so is youtube so this could be a good investment.
