Yahoo Partners With Gracenote To Offer Music Lyrics
Recently Yahoo announced that they are adding a song lyric library that will allow users to access the words to over 400,000 songs.
This new service is being offered with Gracenote a company based in Emeryville that has negotiated deals with thousands of publishers who own the lyric copyrights. This includes lyrics from companies like BMG, EMI, Sony and Universal Music Group.
Yahoo and Gracenote will use a revenue sharing platform. They will split advertising revenues generated from the lyrics with the copyright holders.
Do you think that little guy lyrics sites stand a chance against Yahoo?
